Artists, not hobbyists
Every painter on our roster has event experience - birthdays, fall festivals, church events, corporate campuses - not a craft-store kit and a Saturday free.
Inflatables bring the crowd. The face painter keeps it. The kids who already bounced, the younger siblings who aren’t tall enough, the parents who need a photo - they’re all looking for the next thing. For nearly 20 years, Jumper Bee has booked the DFW artists who turn a six-year-old into a tiger and put a Cowboys star on a tailgate cheekbone for a Sunday game.
Every artist arrives with an FDA-compliant kit, hypoallergenic paint, a portable setup, and insurance coverage that matches whatever your HOA, school district, megachurch, or corporate campus requires. One call, one contract, one COI naming your venue - same vendor as your inflatables.
Spring and fall Saturdays book 3-4 weeks out. Call 972-429-4545 or request a quote online.
Every painter on our roster has event experience - birthdays, fall festivals, church events, corporate campuses - not a craft-store kit and a Saturday free.
Snazaroo, TAG, Mehron Paradise, Wolfe, Fusion - professional-grade, hypoallergenic, water-based. No tempera, no acrylic near a kid’s face.
10-15 detailed faces per hour; 15-20 for simpler designs. We scope the artist count so nobody waits 45 minutes.
Toddler and shy-kid tactics: arm or hand designs instead of full face, parent-lap seating, patch-tests for sensitive skin.
Plano, Frisco, Allen, McKinney, Prosper, Rockwall, Fort Worth, Denton - 90+ cities. Travel fees quoted up front.
Cowboys cheek art for a tailgate, skull-wrap for a Halloween corporate, glitter tattoo for a bachelorette. Same roster, different styles.
Our artists work from a laminated design book (kids love choosing) and take custom requests. The staples that show up at every DFW event:
Tiger, cheetah, puppy, butterfly, owl - the perennial first choice for 3-7 year olds.
Tiaras, jewels, Disney-inspired gowns, Frozen-style snowflake crowns.
Spider-Man masks, Batman, Iron Man, eye-patch pirates, and villain overlays.
Horn-and-mane designs with cosmetic glitter - the single most-requested at DFW birthdays.
Cowboys stars, Mavs swoosh, Stars logos, Rangers “T,” FC Dallas - cheek art for tailgates and watch parties.
Full-face masquerade, Day-of-the-Dead skulls, full Halloween character wraps for adult costumes.
Custom designs welcome - team logos, character requests, school mascots, themed parties. Send us the theme when you book and we’ll brief the artist.
The Kit & The Setup
Every booking ships with the actual kit a working event face painter uses. A parent asking “is that paint safe?’’ on a Saturday afternoon should never hear a maybe.
Every Jumper Bee face-painter setup includes:
Need a COI for an HOA, school district, church, or corporate venue? We issue within one business day - same policy that covers our inflatables.
Most events pair a face painter with one or two of the below so the line moves:
Swords, flowers, dogs, crown hats, Elsas - two-minute turnaround. Waiting kid gets a balloon while the sitting kid gets painted.
Stencil-and-cosmetic-glitter tattoos on arms and shoulders. 20-30 seconds each, lasts 3-5 days.
Compressor-and-stencil setup, about 2× the throughput of brush work with a softer finish. 150+ kid events.
Princess and superhero visits. Kid gets painted, then meets the character. 30-60 minute windows.
All add-ons bundle into the same contract, deposit, and COI - one vendor, one invoice.
The right number of artists for the right amount of time is the whole ballgame:
Tell us the age range, kid headcount, and event window - we come back with an artist count that works the crowd.
Pair Face Painters With
A face painter solo works for a 15-kid birthday. For everything bigger, pair them with the things the painted kids run to next - that’s how an event feels designed instead of assembled.
Bounce Houses Balloon Twisters Photo Booths Glitter Tattoos DJs Magicians
One contract, one deposit, one COI, one crew lead on site. Bundled bookings typically save 10-15% over piecing the same vendors together.
Face painting travels well - any flat square footage, shade or indoor cover, and a power outlet for airbrush. The DFW venues we work most:
Plano 75093, Frisco 75034, Allen 75013, McKinney 75070 - one artist plus a bounce house.
Twin Creeks, Starcreek, Craig Ranch, Phillips Creek Ranch, Light Farms - clubhouse and pool-deck circuit.
Prestonwood, Gateway, Watermark, The Village Church, Fellowship - programs drawing 1,500+ trick-or-treaters.
Frisco ISD, Plano ISD, Allen ISD, McKinney ISD, Prosper ISD fall festivals and spring flings.
Goddard, Primrose, KinderCare, La Petite, and independent centers - toddler-safe arm designs.
Tailgates at The Star, Cowboys watch parties, little-league tournaments, graduation open houses.
Legacy West, Cypress Waters, Las Colinas, Alliance, Preston Center - kid-corner staffing.
Celebration Park (Allen), Frisco Commons, Oak Point Park (Plano), Beckert Park (Prosper), Arbor Hills.
If your venue isn’t on the list, call anyway - we almost certainly send artists there too.

Spring and fall weekends (March-May, September-November) fill 3-4 weeks out - longer for major-holiday Saturdays like the weekends around Halloween, Easter, and Fourth of July. Backyard birthdays mid-week or off-season typically book 1-2 weeks out, and same-week openings are occasionally possible on Sundays. Large HOA fall festivals (Twin Creeks, Starcreek, Craig Ranch, Stonebridge Ranch, Phillips Creek Ranch, Light Farms) and megachurch Trunk-or-Treats - the Prestonwood, Gateway, Watermark, and Village Church caliber - should lock face painters 6-8 weeks ahead because we bundle 2-4 artists per event and the calendar fills fast.
Industry rule of thumb is 10-15 faces per hour per artist for detailed cheek-art and 15-20 per hour for simpler designs or glitter tattoos. Plan backward from the headcount: a 40-kid birthday wants one artist for two hours; a 150-kid HOA fall fest wants two artists for three hours or three artists for two hours so nobody waits in line for 45 minutes and misses the bounce house. Airbrush throughput is higher than brush; we scope the booking to fit the crowd and the run-of-show, not to pad hours.
Yes. Every artist we book uses FDA-compliant, professional-grade, hypoallergenic face paints - typically Snazaroo, TAG, Mehron Paradise, Wolfe, or Fusion - never craft-store acrylics or tempera. Paints are water-activated, fragrance-free, and wash off with soap and water. For toddlers (2-4 yr) we default to arm or hand designs rather than full face, and we patch-test on request. Glitter is cosmetic-grade polyester (never craft glitter near the eye area), and we keep brushes one-per-face with a fresh water change every five kids.
Face paint doesn’t survive a 98°F Texas afternoon in direct sun - it smears within an hour on sweaty foreheads. For outdoor DFW events May-September we strongly recommend a 10×10 shade tent or a covered pavilion, and we bring our own pop-up on request. In rain, face painting moves indoors, under a tent, or under a covered porch - the artist works with whatever dry square footage exists. If a severe-weather advisory hits your ZIP the day of, we reschedule without fee. For park-pavilion events (Celebration Park in Allen, Frisco Commons, Oak Point Park in Plano, Haggard Park, Beckert Park in Prosper) we confirm the shade situation at quote time.
Both - but the mix matters. Adult face painting at corporate Halloween parties, holiday campus events, Cowboys tailgates, and Mavs/Stars/Rangers watch-parties is a real category, and we book artists who specialize in sports-team-logo cheek art, full-face skull designs for Day-of-the-Dead events, and glamour/glitter for adult costume parties and bachelorette events. For mixed-age family events (HOA fall festivals, church carnivals, company picnics) we tune a lineup that reads as kid-friendly by default and scales up to adult designs on request. Quinceñeras, bar mitzvahs, and graduation parties often want a glitter-tattoo bar instead of full face paint - equally popular, faster turnaround.
Yes - it’s how most of our clients book. One contract, one deposit, one Certificate of Insurance naming your venue as additional insured, and one crew lead on site for the whole event. Common pairings: face painting + balloon twisting + bounce house (classic backyard birthday), face painting + glitter tattoos + photo booth + DJ (Frisco ISD or Plano ISD school carnivals), face painting + airbrush + magician + inflatables (HOA fall festivals and megachurch Trunk-or-Treats). Bundled bookings typically save 10-15% over piecing the same vendors together, and they eliminate the Saturday-morning coordination mess of multiple small vendors converging on the same address.
